GET INVOLVED

School in a Bag run Home Farm Fest every year to allow the charity to continue its work enabling children all around the world to receive an education. The support of the community is vital to make the festival happen and ensure everyone has a brilliant weekend whether it's parking cars, stewarding, working in the bars, taking photos, setting the festival up or even taking it down afterwards - we need people for all these things! There are a few ways you can help, so if you fancy being a part of the festival, please fill in the relevant form:

1. BANDS, MUSICIANS, and PERFORMERS

APPLICATIONS FOR HFF19 ARE NOW CLOSED!!

Due to the huge number of applications we've received, we've had to close our applications much earlier than normal.

Please note: 100% of our profits go to our charity, School in a Bag, so ALL our performers very kindly play for free so we can make as much money as possible. This won't suit everyone, but for those that are willing to, thank you.

Understandably with the amount of fantastic performers who apply, we only have room for so many, so unfortunately we have to disappoint some. HOWEVER, we can't express enough how fortunate we are made to feel that so many of you want to join us for our biggest annual fundraisier, and happily give up your time and awesomeness to help our cause. Thank you.

NOW CLOSED

2. VOLUNTEER

Be part of the biggest Home Farm Fest ever and join our herd!

Aside from the professionals that we legally require on site during the festival, such as the security and medical teams, Home Farm Fest is run completely by volunteers! From the bands on stage to the stewards that give out the wristbands, everyone is giving up their time for the great cause of School in a Bag.

We're incredibily lucky to have a strong cohort of volunteers, that support us year after year, but this year we're looking to make our herd even bigger to support the growth of our much loved festival.

We're especially keen to hear from groups!

Whether that’s friends, workmates, sports teams celebrating the end of their season, families or community groups. Volunteering together makes the experience even more fun, and wherever possible we’ll align shifts so you can work (and celebrate) side by side.

New for 2026, volunteers will enjoy an enhanced perks package alongside their free ticket, with a brand-new volunteering chill-out area, a dedicated crew camping space, and a free volunteer T-shirt.

If you are under 18 or would like to volunteer as a corporate program, please contact: volunteer@homefarmfest.co.uk.

---------------------------------------------------------

This year, there are five types of volunteers...

Pre and post festival support

Festival build volunteers

Be involved in creating the magic of Home Farm Fest! Help us put up fencing, build attractions, put up flags, decorate and with about million other tasks that go into creating our wonderful festival!

Festival take down volunteers

Once the fun is over, there's still much work to be done! Help us clear up and return Home Farm to it's day job as a working farm!

Pre and post adminstrator support

This year, we're looking for support to check volunteers and contractors in and off site, ensure that workers understand the health and safety requirements, such as wearing a hi-viz at all times and generally get involved with any adminstration support needed - this could mean anything from laminating signs to making badges.

If you're applying for any of the above roles, please be sure to complete the section in the application form that asks for more details about your specific skills, that you could add to the role. We'll be in touch to discuss your availabilty in further detail, but these roles are generally required during the two weeks before and one week after the festival.

Volunteering during the festival

The Home Farm Herd

Join us for the weekend. There are lots of different volunteer roles available, with a particular need for stewards due to the growth of the festival. We ask for 8 hours of your time, split across two days.

Volunteer shifts will be scheduled to ensure peak festival hours are fully covered, based on the area you are working in. Wherever possible, if you are volunteering as part of a group, we will align on and off shift times so you can make the most of the experience together.

The Day-ry Crew

Join us for a day! If you're stuck for time or local, this could be a great option for you! Time-wise, we ask for 4 hours of your time, but other than that, you'll have access to enjoy the festival arena for the entire day. Due to licencing restrictions, just like a normal day pass, you won't have access to the camping areas, but you will be able to access to the volunteer chill out area, which is new for 2026!

                                                                                    -----------------------------------------------------

What roles are available during the festival?

Stewards

Help keep the festival running smoothly! Stewards welcome guests, give directions, support queue management, and assist with general site safety. Perfect for friendly, people-oriented volunteers who enjoy being at the heart of the action. (The majority of volunteering vacancies available are for this role to support the growth of the festival)

Poo-Patrol

Our unsung heroes! Join our CEO, Luke and the other Poo-Patrol volunteers keep the porta loos clean, stocked, and fresh throughout the event. A vital role that keeps everyone happy and the festival hygienic. Ideal for those with a good sense of humour and a can-do attitude.

Festival heroes! (New for 2026!)

Keen to get your step count in? Become everyone favourite person, by supporting our volunteers across the festival and bands back-stage. Whether it’s cable ties, water or snacks that are needed, everyone will always be pleased to see you!

Shops

Support the on-site festival shops by helping visitors find what they need, managing simple sales, supporting people to pack SchoolBags, and keeping displays tidy and welcoming. Great for volunteers who enjoy customer interaction and have an eye for organisation.

Bars

Serve drinks, take payments, and keep the bar area running safely and efficiently. A lively, sociable role that’s perfect for confident volunteers who thrive in a fast-paced environment. (Must be 18+.)

Tea Tents

Bring the cosy festival vibes! Tea Tent volunteers prepare hot drinks, serve cakes and snacks, and create a warm, friendly atmosphere for festival-goers to relax. Ideal for volunteers who love a chat and a good brew.
