About it: Our fab team are once again running our fab Children's Area! With loads to do, including making things around the theme of recycling, there will also be water rockets, a mud kitchen, a water wall, a pirate ship, a small climbing wall, story telling and some other exciting things you'll just have to go and discover yourselves ;). Perfect for children of all ages, and a place for parents to relax too!
Cost: FREE on the most part, but some activities may ask for a small donation to pay for materials :)
Extras: Please note - children MUST be accompanied by an adult at all times or they will not be able to enter the Children's Area
CLIMBING WALL & AXE THROWING
Location: Inbetween The Lloyd Lounge and The Folkroom (to be fair, just look up for a big blue climbing wall!)
About it: We've got a climbing wall again this year...and sorry, was that AXE THROWING you said?!? For the second year running, you can bring out your inner Viking (not for littlies though). Plus, who can climb the highest, who can get there fastest? Challenge your friends, or try climbing for the first time in a safe and monitored enviroment (this one is perfect for kids!)
Cost: Pay per go at the climbing wall/axe throwing itself
TALKS & WORKSHOPS

About it: A new, more central location! This year we bring another wealth of talks and workshops lead by experts in their field. Come along to learn something new or enhance on what you already know a bit about.

WELLNESS AREA
Location: Take the picket fenced path just before the Oak & Apple Bar and you'll walk into an oasis of tranquility :)
About it: Thanks again to the team at the Yeovil Diversity Project, our Wellness Are is back for a second year, and this time bigger and better than before! See the timetable for what's on over the weekend:

Cost: FREE for workshops, any treatments/specialist classes may cost so check first!
SILENT DISCOS
Location: Club Rouge in the Dance Village
About it: Our Silent Discos in are definitely worth seeking out, be be aware, they've moved! If you've never been to one before, now's your opportunity...and If you've never heard of them, then make sure you don't miss out on the fun... We also run Chilldrens' Silent Discos - Not exclusively for children, but a great chance for them to enter the world of a 'silent' disco :)

WILD PLAY AREA
Location: Take the picket fenced path on the way down to the Wellness Area, but it's on the left just before :)
About it: New last year, our Wild Play Area is being run by forest school leader and author, Ema Lou from Wild Wellies. Tools out for some green wood work activities, making buttons and beads, learning how to make nettle string and a festival wool wriggler too over the whole weekend! There will be something for children of all ages.
Ema Lou will also be selling and signing her keepsake journal/book 'My favourite tree', and NEW BOOk 'The Snowdrop Tree' another keepsake/journal book. This time to support a child through bereavement. with 10% going to (School in a Bag) RRP £9)
Saturday: 10am - 12pm and 2pm - 4pm | Sunday: 10am - 12pm
Joining Ema Lou is Lara from Skool Beanz! She will be planting seeds with the children that can then be taken away and grown at home :). Lara on-hand to talk and teach about growing plants and vegetables, how to do it and why to do it - lots to learn and do!
There will be the following drop-in sessions:

About it: Run by the brilliant GSL Events, the Children's Discos are not to be missed!

A chance for children of all ages to bust a few moves and have fun at their own music venue - pop in for a bit, or stay for the whole thing, it's up to you.!

Location: Avant Garde (in its new location!)
About it: Start your morning off with a film! Perfect for the early risers, before the music all starts - and a place for Mum & Dad to chilll with a cup of coffee too. Or finish your evening with a film, great for if you've been on your feet dancing all day :)
Bring a pillow or blanket (or even a chair) and snuggle down!

HOME FARM FEST RUN
Location: Around the festival site! Starting from the Dutch Barn stage
About it: Our second Home Farm Fest run and if last year's was anything to go by, it was great fun - we even had several in fancy dress! If you're a prolific Parkrunner, an avid athlete or like a gentle jog and therefore being at the festival means you're missing your weekend run, then this is perfect for you! Equally, if you fancy a run around the site either with or without children, then why not join in :)
Our 2.5km run is taking place at 9.30am on Saturday 10th June
Cost: £3 per entry (12 years old and under MUST be accompanied by an adult to the start line). Pay on the day by the start/finish line (cash or card)
POO PATROL!
Location: Everywhere - where there's a toilet, there's Poo Patrol!
About it: These guys are many people's saviours. They're there to keep the loos clean, topped up with toilet roll, and they've even been known to fish a phone or two out the poo...!! Every year, their praises are sung higher and higher:
"I was worried about coming to a festival because of the toilets, but these guys are amazing!",
"I've never seen such clean toilets at a festival!",
"Cheers guys! Pleasure going to the dunny at HFF without the usual portapotty puddles and pongs...You guys rock!",
"Never have to bring my ‘full’ festival toilet kit to this one........fab job as always guys!"

Location: In The Domer field
About it: Our Big Wheel and Fun House will be back again this year!! Race around against your friends on the dodgems, located in The Domer field – for big kids too!
There's also the inflatable area too with lots of running, jumping and bouncing to be done!
Cost: Per Go or a Day or Weekend Pass (bought through Herberts Funfair not Home Farm Fest)
KARAOKE

About it: The Tipsy Heifer - our bar in The Domer field, so called as when the festival’s not on, the cows are in residence in this field. A full bar with plenty of personality and a pub-like feel to it, you can hang out here with a pint in hand, whilst watching bands on the main stage!

About it: The Dutch Barn Bar - the original of all bars that’s been with us since the festival started (in some form or another!). A full bar with staff you’re also likely to see dancing, and if you’re unlucky, singing, along to the bands playing on The Dutch Barn Stage!
